China introduced GRC technology in the 1990s, and it has been widely applied since then. Due to the late start domestically, inadequate enforcement of industry standards, and property owners' lack of understanding about this new material, merely achieving a superficial resemblance was deemed sufficient, providing opportunities for unscrupulous profit-seekers. Consequently, GRC in China has been compromised, with the use of cheap materials and crude craftsmanship. The successive development of European-style architectural properties across the country, coupled with the booming real estate market, has led to the widespread adoption of GRC.
Several years have passed, and when we look again at these real estate projects decorated with roughly crafted GRC, we find them either cracked or peeling off; in more severe cases, they have even fallen onto vehicles and injured people, which is shocking. Among the victims are not a few well-known real estate companies and owners of high-end residential communities.

As a result, designers and property owners began to question the GRC material, believing it to be cheap and of substandard quality. Meanwhile, the costs and prices of copycat factories in domestic family workshops continued to plummet, creating a chaotic situation in the entire domestic GRC market.
